Batterytester Plug & Play adapter for Gazelle Innergy 36V
Description
Product information
This specialised "Plug & Play" adapter is the tailor-made solution for connecting the widely used Gazelle Innergy batteries (36V) to your professional battery tester. The Gazelle Innergy system (often installed in the Orange, Medeo, Chamonix models) has a special charging socket, which is often integrated into the rear light. This adapter establishes the correct connection and, in combination with manual activation on the battery, enables reliable capacity testing.
Highlights at a glance
- Exclusive compatibility: Specially developed for Gazelle Innergy and Innergy XT battery systems (36V), recognisable by the characteristic rear light charging connection.
- Plug & Play: Simple connection directly to the charging socket of the battery (often at the end of the rack battery).
- Supported models: Covers a wide range of Gazelle e-bikes, including Gazelle Orange, Medeo, Chamonix, Fuente, Balance and Miss Grace.
- Professional diagnosis: Enables bike dealers to evaluate trade-ins and diagnose customer batteries (bronze, silver, gold, platinum) that are otherwise difficult to test.
- Robust quality: High-quality connectors and durable cables for everyday use in the workshop.
Precise analysis for Gazelle Innergy
The Innergy system is one of the best-known systems on the Dutch and German markets. The batteries are "intelligent" and require activation in order to deliver power. With this adapter you can safely connect the battery to the test device. By pressing the button on the rear light (battery status indicator), the system is "woken up" so that the discharge test can start.
Important note on the application
Gazelle Innergy batteries can react sensitively in test mode. It is important to follow the specific starting procedure (activation by pressing the button on the rear light). Some batteries may switch off prematurely. In this case, a rest period of one hour and a new test with a reduced discharge current (e.g. 1A) often helps to obtain valid results.

FAQs about the Plug & Play Adapter for Gazelle
Does this adapter fit all Gazelle bikes?
No. Gazelle uses different drive systems. This adapter is only for the Gazelle Innergy system (rear motor/front motor developed in-house). For Gazelle bikes with Panasonic drive (mid-motor) or Impulse drive you need other, specific adapters, as the plugs are not compatible.
How do I activate the battery for the test?
Once you have connected the adapter and the tester, you must switch on the battery manually. To do this, press the button on the rear light of the battery (which normally indicates the charge level). This wakes up the battery management system (BMS) and releases the current flow.
Can I charge the battery via the adapter?
The adapter is primarily designed for diagnostics (discharging). Ideally, charging should always be done with the original Gazelle Innergy charger to ensure correct charge control.
What do "Gold", "Silver" or "Platinum" mean?
These are capacity designations from Gazelle for the Innergy batteries (bronze = shortest range, platinum = longest range). The adapter works technically with all variants of this series, as the connection is identical.
