Why should I choose 6mm² instead of 4mm²?
For higher yield and future-proofing. Especially with cable lengths over 15–20 metres or when using modules with high current (Isc over 13A), the voltage drop with 6mm² is noticeably lower. This means that more energy reaches the inverter and the cable remains cooler under high load.
Can the cable be laid directly in the ground?
Only in a protective conduit. Although the insulation is very robust, the cable is not designed for direct burial without protection. In suitable cable protection conduit, however, laying in the ground is no problem.
Is the cable resistant to chemicals?
Yes. The XLPO insulation is resistant to acids, alkalis, and ammonia. This makes it especially suitable for installations in agriculture (barns) or in areas affected by industrial pollution.Properties
