There is a small controller with 3 buttons on the cable. This allows you to switch the strip on/off, change the brightness and cycle through some basic modes. For full functionality (precise colour selection, timer, music scenes), however, the app is necessary.Can I extend the strip?No. The Ostrip is a closed system. You cannot simply plug a second strip onto the end, as the power supply via USB (5 watts) would not be sufficient for this.Is it bright enough as an under-cabinet kitchen light?Rather not as a work light. With 150 lumens over 5 metres, the light is more decorative ("dim light"). For chopping vegetables you need much more brightness and especially pure white light.
