Product information
This perfectly coordinated photovoltaic bundle combines the state-of-the-art single-phase hybrid inverter Deye SUN-3.6K-SG05LP1-EU-AM2 with the advanced low-voltage storage system Deye SE-F5 Pro-C and 10 high-performance JA Solar 460W Full-Black Glass-Glass Modules. This replaces rigid standalone solutions with highly flexible, intelligent energy management in the safe 48V/51.2V low-voltage range.
With a perfectly dimensioned module output of 4.60 kWp, this bundle leverages the capacity of the single-phase control centre (Smart Energy Hub) to the optimum. It offers private households maximum independence from the power grid, ultra-fast backup power and maximum service life through state-of-the-art components.
Highlights at a glance
- Optimal energy utilisation: The ideal DC/AC ratio of approx. 125% ensures that the inverter delivers maximum performance even in cloudy conditions. Surplus summer energy is charged directly into the battery instead of being curtailed.
- Future-proof LiFePO4 technology: The SE-F5 Pro-C module is based on lithium iron phosphate – currently the safest, most thermally stable and longest-lasting cell chemistry for residential storage.
- Premium glass-glass modules: The 10 JA Solar modules impress with their extreme mechanical resilience, minimal degradation and a highly efficient full-black design.
- 2 independent MPPT trackers: Enables the flexible distribution of modules across two different roof areas (e.g. east/west orientation) or tilt angles.
- Ultra-fast UPS function: Provides automatic switchover to emergency power in under 4 ms in the event of a mains failure. Sensitive devices such as computers continue to run without interruption.
- Modular Plug & Play scalability: In future, as energy requirements increase, the storage system can be easily expanded in parallel by stacking additional modules – without the need for a separate BMS box.
Areas of application
This Deye low-voltage kit is the perfect all-in-one solution for modern homes:
- Detached houses & flats: Maximising self-consumption by storing solar power generated during the day for use in the evening and at night.
- Home office & critical infrastructure: Reliable protection for computers, routers and smart home hubs thanks to the genuine, uninterrupted UPS emergency power function.
- Future-oriented retrofitters: Ideal for users who wish to start with a compact storage capacity (5.12 kWh) whilst keeping the option open for a straightforward capacity upgrade.
Installation & safety instructions
- String connection: If all 10 modules face the same direction, they are connected in series to a single MPPT input. The total voltage is then within the inverter’s optimal efficiency range.
- Installation location for inverter & storage unit: Thanks to its IP65 protection rating, the inverter is suitable for installation in sheltered outdoor areas or garages. The battery module (IP20) must be installed in a dry, frost-free indoor location (e.g. a basement or utility room).
- Installation by qualified personnel: For safety reasons, the electrical connection to the domestic mains supply (AC) and the DC cabling of high-current low-voltage batteries must only be carried out by a certified electrician..

FAQs on the 3.6 kW low-voltage PV kit
Can the system recharge the battery via the solar modules even during a power cut?
- Yes, the system is fully capable of black start. In the event of a power cut, the inverter switches to off-grid mode. If the sun shines the following day, the solar power generated is primarily used to power the emergency loads in the house and, in parallel, the battery is recharged (solar off-grid mode).
Why is a low-voltage system used here instead of a high-voltage system?
- Cost-efficiency and easy scalability. Low-voltage systems (48V/51.2V) are extremely safe to handle in the extra-low-voltage range. Furthermore, the SE-F5 Pro-C series in the low-voltage segment does not require an expensive, separate master BMS box – each module is ready for immediate use and can be easily expanded in parallel.
What are the benefits of the glass-glass design of the JA Solar modules?
- Maximum robustness and durability. As the solar cells are protected by glass on both the front and back, they are extremely resistant to environmental influences such as hail, ammonia or micro-cracks. This ensures a significantly longer performance guarantee and more stable yields over decades.
How do the inverter and the storage system communicate with each other?
- Via a direct CAN/RS485 data cable. The communication cable included in the scope of delivery connects the battery directly to the inverter. This enables a continuous exchange of data, ensuring that the inverter always charges or discharges the battery in a cell-friendly and highly efficient manner.
