This perfectly coordinated photovoltaic kit combines the state-of-the-art, true three-phase hybrid inverter Deye SUN-6K-SG05LP3-EU-SM2 with two units of the advanced low-voltage storage system Deye SE-F5 Pro-C and 16 high-performance JA Solar 460W Full-Black Glass-Glass Modules. It replaces traditional, rigid systems with a highly flexible, intelligent energy management system that operates in the safe and cost-effective 48V/51.2V low-voltage range, despite three-phase power supply.

With a PV module output of 7.36 kWp, this bundle leverages the three-phase control centre’s (Smart Energy Hub) capacity to deliver optimal performance. It offers residential and small commercial customers full symmetry in grid feed-in, massive storage capacity of 10.24 kWh, and maximum reliability.

  • Ultra-fast UPS function: Provides automatic switchover to three-phase emergency power in under 4 ms in the event of a mains failure. Essential household appliances continue to run without interruption.

Installation & safety instructions

  • String connection (MPPT): Ideally, the 16 modules are divided into two strings of 8 modules each. With an open-circuit voltage of approx. 38–42V per module, you achieve a string voltage that lies perfectly within the inverter’s optimal operating range.
  • Installation & environment: Thanks to its IP65 protection rating, the inverter is suitable for installation in a sheltered outdoor area or in the garage. The two battery modules (IP20) must be installed securely side by side or stacked in a dry, frost-free indoor space (e.g. cellar or utility room).
  • Installation by qualified personnel: As this is a three-phase system (AC 400V), the installation, connection to the AC mains and high-current DC cabling of the low-voltage batteries must be carried out exclusively by a certified electrician.

FAQs on the 6 kW three-phase low-voltage PV set

Can the system also supply heavy three-phase loads in emergency power mode?

  • Yes, within the scope of the device’s performance. The inverter provides genuine three-phase emergency power (400V) in the event of a grid failure. Devices such as smaller heat pumps or ovens can continue to operate without problems up to a total output of 6 kW, as long as the battery is sufficiently charged.

Why is a low-voltage storage system used here on a three-phase inverter?

  • Safety and significant cost advantages. Deye is one of the few manufacturers offering highly efficient, three-phase inverters for affordable 48V/51.2V low-voltage batteries. You benefit from the lower acquisition costs of the low-voltage modules and simple plug & play expandability, without having to forgo the advantages of a three-phase domestic grid.

Is the system "black-start capable" and does it recharge the batteries in the event of a grid failure?

  • Yes, absolutely. If the public grid fails for days and the batteries are completely empty, the system switches itself back on fully automatically the next morning through the first solar radiation (black start). It supplies your emergency power consumers and simultaneously recharges the batteries.

How does battery management work with two modules?

  • Via automatic parallel communication. The two SE-F5 Pro-C modules are connected directly to each other with a short data cable. One module automatically takes on the role of the "master" and communicates with the Deye inverter on behalf of the entire bank via the CAN/RS485 bus. This ensures a perfectly balanced charge and depth of discharge of both units.
