Description
Product information
The 2 metre Hoymiles BC05 to Schuko connection cable is the compact and safe solution for directly connecting your microinverter of the Hoymiles HMS series to a nearby socket. This short version avoids unnecessary cable loops and tripping hazards on the balcony or terrace if the feed-in socket is in the immediate vicinity of the inverter.
It connects the specific Hoymiles "Field Connector" (BC05) to the domestic mains in accordance with standards. The high-quality rubber cable (H07RN-F 3G1.5) guarantees durability and safety, even with direct sunlight or rain in outdoor areas.
Highlights at a glance
- Perfect fit: Specially assembled for Hoymiles microinverters of the HMS series (e.g. HMS-800W-2T, HMS-1600, HMS-2000) with the typical BC05 connector.
- Compact length (2 metres): Ideal for installations where the inverter is mounted directly next to the outdoor socket to avoid cable clutter.
- Easy installation: Connects the inverter directly and without additional adapters via "Plug & Play" to a standard Schuko socket.
- High-quality rubber cable: The heavy-duty rubber cable of type H07RN-F 3G1.5 mm² is extremely robust, oil-resistant and UV-resistant for long-term outdoor use.
- High protection rating: The BC05 plug on the inverter side is waterproof (IP68), while the Schuko plug is designed for protected outdoor use (IP44).
- Secure connection: Professionally machine-crimped contacts ensure minimal transfer resistance and maximum safety for power feed-in up to 16 amps.
Areas of Application
The 2-metre version is perfect for short distances:
- Balcony power systems: When the outdoor socket is installed directly on the balcony wall next to the modules.
- Wall mounting: For façade systems where the cable is fed directly through a hole to the inside to the socket.
- Garden shed/garage: For direct connection to an existing splash-proof socket indoors.
Installation & Safety Instructions
- Engage: Make sure the BC05 plug at the inverter clicks audibly. Only then is the connection watertight and secure.
- Release: To remove the BC05 plug from the inverter, you need a special release tool (Disconnect Tool). Never pull with force!
- Extension: Avoid extending this short cable with inferior extension cables or multiple sockets. If the distance is greater, use the 5m or 10m version of this cable.
- Compatibility: This cable does not fit the older HM series (Betteri BC01 connection). The BC05 plug is flatter and more rectangular.

FAQs on the Hoymiles BC05 cable (2m)
How do I know if I have an HMS or HM inverter?
The HMS series (e.g. HMS-800W-2T) has a smooth, more rectangular connector (BC05) with no external thread. The older HM series (e.g. HM-600) has a round, wavy Betteri connector (BC01) with screw thread. This cable fits only HMS.
Is 2 metres length enough?
Please measure the route exactly! Note that the cable on the inverter often does not run straight, but has to be laid in a curve. 2 metres is very short and offers little room for manoeuvre. If in doubt, the 5-metre version is often the more flexible choice.
Is the cable suitable for permanent outdoor use?
Yes. The H07RN-F cable is specially designed and approved for high mechanical stress and weather effects (rain, snow, UV radiation) in outdoor use.Reviews 0
