Product information
The Deye GB-W60 is the ultimate powerhouse for large-scale energy storage projects. With an impressive total capacity of 60.1 kWh this cabinet-based high-voltage (HV) system represents a high-performance variant of the GB-W series. It has been specially developed to safely and efficiently meet the energy requirements of industrial plants, large agricultural complexes and self-sufficient residential areas.
The system stands out thanks to its modular architecture within a robust cabinet system, offering maximum energy density within a minimal footprint. In combination with the high-performance Deye hybrid inverters, it enables almost complete independence from the public grid and highly effective load peak shaving.
Key features at a glance
- High storage capacity: 60.1 kWh provide enormous reserves for the most demanding applications and backup times lasting several days.
- Safe LiFePO4 technology: Uses thermally stable lithium iron phosphate cells for maximum safety and an outstanding service life.
- High-voltage efficiency: The high operating voltage minimises conversion losses and optimises the overall efficiency of the photovoltaic system.
- Intelligent Master BMS: A central battery management system continuously monitors all cell parameters and ensures perfect balancing across all modules.
- Robust all-in-one solution: The battery modules are securely housed in an industrial cabinet system, which significantly reduces the amount of on-site installation work required.
- Enormous load capacity: Designed for high discharge currents to ensure the stable operation of even heavy industrial machinery or extensive backup systems.
- Comprehensive monitoring: Fully integrated with the Deye cloud for real-time monitoring, detailed statistics and remote maintenance options.
Areas of application
The GB-W60 system is ideal for commercial, industrial, agricultural and microgrid projects:
- Industrial & manufacturing companies
- Drastic reduction in electricity costs through optimisation of self-consumption and professional peak shaving to avoid expensive peak-time tariffs.
- Large agricultural holdings
- Buffering of substantial PV yields to supply drying plants, cold stores or automated livestock housing round the clock.
- Neighbourhood solutions & microgrids
- Central storage unit for housing estates or hotels seeking a sustainable and independent energy supply.
- Charging infrastructure for vehicle fleets
- Buffering system for fast-charging stations for electric lorries or bus fleets, to prevent grid overloads.
Installation & Safety Instructions
- Structural requirements
- Due to the substantial weight of the 60.1 kWh unit, the installation site must have a reinforced, perfectly level concrete foundation.
- Fire Safety & Environment
- Installation should take place in a dedicated plant room that complies with local fire safety regulations for large-scale battery storage systems and allows for active ventilation.
- Qualified personnel
- The installation and commissioning of high-voltage components must only be carried out by specially trained and certified personnel.

FAQs on the Deye GB-W60 battery system
Can the system be connected in parallel with other storage units?
- Yes, via the Deye system management.
- Several of these cabinet systems can often be operated in parallel to achieve capacities in the range of several hundred kilowatt-hours or even megawatt-hours.
How long does the battery last under maximum load?
- Depending on the discharge rate.
- At a constant load of 50 kW, the system can theoretically supply electricity for approximately 1.1 hours. The actual running time depends on the discharge power, operating strategy and usable energy.
Is remote maintenance possible?
- Yes, without restriction.
- Via the Deye web portal or the app, authorised technicians can check the status of the BMS and install software updates without having to be on site.
How is the safety of the cells monitored?
- Thanks to multi-stage sensor technology.
- Each module has its own sensors for temperature, voltage and current. The master BMS can electrically disconnect the system from the mains within milliseconds in the event of any irregularities.
