The Deye GB-L80 Plus with 80.64 kWh is a high-performance, modular high-voltage battery system designed for large domestic photovoltaic installations and smaller commercial energy storage solutions. Featuring safe LiFePO4 battery technology, intelligent battery and energy management, and a space-saving stackable design, this energy storage system combines high capacity with flexible system integration and long-term operational reliability.
80.64 kWh storage capacity for high energy demand
The Deye GB-L80 Plus consists of 14 battery modules connected in series, each with a capacity of 5.76 kWh. This gives the high-voltage battery system a nominal storage capacity of 80.64 kWh and a nominal system voltage of 806.4 V. The operating voltage range of 630 to 919.8 V enables integration into high-performance high-voltage energy storage systems.
With a continuous charging and discharging current of 75 A each, the battery system is suitable for applications with high energy and power requirements. The recommended depth of discharge is 90 %, but can be set to up to 100 % depending on the system configuration.
Modular and space-saving system design
The individual Deye GB-L-Pack5.76-A7 battery modules are stacked on top of one another to save space. The wireless stacking configuration between the modules simplifies installation and reduces the amount of cabling required. A high-voltage control unit and a sturdy stand complete the freestanding battery system.
Thanks to its modular architecture, the GB-L-Plus series can be flexibly adapted to different requirements. For particularly large storage projects, up to 16 battery clusters can be operated in parallel, provided that the overall system design and the inverter used support this.
Safe and durable LiFePO4 technology
The Deye GB-L80 Plus uses long-life lithium iron phosphate cells. LiFePO4 technology is characterised by high thermal stability, a long service life and reliable performance in stationary storage applications. According to the manufacturer, the battery system achieves at least 6,000 charge cycles under defined test conditions.
To ensure a high level of operational reliability, the system features protective mechanisms at battery pack, cell and connection levels. These include over-temperature monitoring, an aerosol-based fire suppression system and integrated pressure relief. The IP66 protection rating protects the housing from dust and powerful water jets, enabling reliable operation in demanding environmental conditions.
Smart battery and energy management
The integrated BMS and EMS management monitors and optimises the operation of the high-voltage battery storage system in real time. Dual online balancing at cell and battery pack level ensures an even load distribution across the storage modules and contributes to a long service life for the entire system.
CAN 2.0, RS485 and Bluetooth are available for communication. Operating data can be monitored locally via Bluetooth and, within a compatible Deye energy storage system, via the Deye cloud. The LCD display also allows direct monitoring of key system information.
Suitable for large private and commercial PV systems
With its high storage capacity, the Deye GB-L80 Plus is particularly suitable for large detached houses, blocks of flats, agricultural holdings and smaller commercial premises. Surplus solar energy can be temporarily stored and used when electricity demand is high, in the evening hours or to reduce peak loads.
When combined with a compatible Deye high-voltage hybrid inverter, this creates a high-performance storage solution for increased self-consumption, improved utilisation of your own photovoltaic system and reduced dependence on the public electricity grid.
