The Deye GB-L17 Plus with 17.28 kWh is a modular high-voltage battery system for domestic photovoltaic installations and smaller commercial energy storage solutions. Safe LiFePO4 battery technology, intelligent battery and energy management, and a space-saving stackable design combine high storage capacity with flexible system integration and long-term operational reliability.
17.28 kWh storage capacity for domestic and commercial applications
The Deye GB-L17 Plus consists of three battery modules connected in series, each with a capacity of 5.76 kWh. This gives the high-voltage battery system a nominal storage capacity of 17.28 kWh and a nominal system voltage of 172.8 V. The operating voltage range of 135 to 197.1 V allows for integration into compatible high-voltage energy storage systems.
With a continuous charge and discharge current of 75 A each, the battery storage system is suitable for applications with increased energy and power requirements. The recommended depth of discharge is 90 % and can be set to up to 100 % depending on the system configuration.
Modular and space-saving system design
The individual Deye GB-L-Pack5.76-A7 battery modules are stacked on top of one another to save space. The wireless stacking configuration between the modules simplifies installation and reduces the amount of cabling required. A high-voltage control and distribution unit, together with a sturdy stand, complete the freestanding battery system.
Thanks to its modular architecture, the Deye GB-L-Plus series can be adapted to different storage requirements. For particularly large projects, up to 16 battery clusters can be operated in parallel, provided that the inverter used and the overall system design support this.
Safe and durable LiFePO4 technology
The Deye GB-L17 Plus uses long-life lithium iron phosphate cells. LiFePO4 technology is characterised by high thermal stability, a long service life and reliable performance in stationary storage applications. According to the manufacturer, the battery system achieves at least 6,000 charge cycles under defined test conditions.
To ensure a high level of operational safety, the high-voltage storage system features various protective mechanisms at the battery pack, cell and connection levels. These include over-temperature monitoring, an aerosol-based fire protection system and an integrated pressure relief mechanism. The IP66 protection rating protects the housing against dust and powerful water jets.
Smart battery and energy management
The integrated BMS and EMS management monitors and optimises the operation of the battery system in real time. Dual online balancing at cell and battery pack level ensures an even load distribution across the storage modules and contributes to the long service life of the entire system.
CAN 2.0, RS485 and Bluetooth are available for communication. Operating data can be monitored locally via Bluetooth and, within a compatible Deye energy storage system, via the Deye cloud. The integrated LCD display also allows direct monitoring of key system information.
For private and small-scale commercial PV systems
With its storage capacity, the Deye GB-L17 Plus is particularly suitable for detached houses with higher electricity requirements, larger residential buildings, agricultural applications and small commercial premises. Surplus solar energy can be temporarily stored and used when electricity demand is high or in the evening hours.
When combined with a compatible Deye high-voltage hybrid inverter, this creates a high-performance storage solution for increased self-consumption, better utilisation of your own photovoltaic system and reduced dependence on the public electricity grid.
