The Deye GB-L-PRO20 is a powerful and highly flexible high-voltage energy storage system, specially developed for modern photovoltaic systems in residential and small commercial settings. With a gross capacity of 20.45 kWh offers a massive energy reserve to maximise independence from the public grid and reliably supply even large households or commercial premises.
The system is supplied including the GBL-PRO BMS supplied, which acts as an intelligent control unit monitoring the entire tower. Thanks to the advanced lithium iron phosphate technology (LiFePO4) the system guarantees maximum safety whilst offering a long service life. The simple stackable design allows for quick installation without complex cable connections between the modules.

- Place the storage unit on a level, load-bearing surface (note the weight). Ensure adequate ventilation and observe the recommended minimum clearances.

- Although the system is designed for a wide temperature range, installation in cool, frost-free indoor areas (e.g. a basement or utility room) extends the service life of the cells.
- Professional commissioning
- The electrical connection to the inverter and the configuration of the GBL-PRO BMS must only be carried out by certified specialist personnel.

Can I expand the system later with additional modules?
Yes.
- Thanks to the modular design, you can flexibly scale the capacity of your storage system. The GBL-PRO BMS automatically detects new modules and integrates them into battery management.
Which inverters is the system compatible with?
Primarily with Deye hybrid inverters.
- The system is optimally matched to Deye's high-voltage hybrid inverters. Please check the current compatibility list for third-party suppliers before installation.
Why is LiFePO4 used as the cell chemistry?
For superior safety.
- Unlike conventional lithium-ion batteries (NMC), LiFePO4 is chemically much more stable. Even if mechanically damaged, these cells do not tend to catch fire.
Does the system have integrated heating for winter operation?
Yes, optionally.
- The Deye GB-L-PRO20 system supports an integrated heating function that enables the battery cells to be safely charged even at low ambient temperatures. This effectively protects the cells in installations in unheated rooms.
What is the maximum discharge power of the 20.45 kWh system?
Depending on the module configuration.
- Thanks to high-voltage technology, the system can deliver high discharge currents. As a rule, this 20.45 kWh pack enables a continuous power output of approx. 10 kW to 15 kW, ideal for operating wall boxes or air conditioning systems.

System composition
- This product is a set and consists of six separate main components which together form a 20.45 kWh high-voltage tower system.
Component 1: Deye GBL-PRO BMS (high-voltage control unit & base)
- The central control unit (BMS) that manages the entire high-voltage system. This unit forms the base of the battery tower.
Components 2 to 6: Five Deye GB-L-PRO-BATT high-voltage battery modules (4.09 kWh each)
- Five high-voltage battery modules, each with 4.09 kWh, which are stacked onto the BMS unit and on top of one another.
1 x set of battery connection cables (positive & negative)
- A pair of special high-voltage power cables for connecting the BMS unit to a compatible high-voltage hybrid inverter.
1 x communication cable (CAN/RS485)
- A data cable for communication between the BMS and the inverter.
4 x connecting bridge / series connection cable
- Short, robust cables or fixed bridges for connecting the five battery modules in series.
1 x earthing cable
- A protective earth conductor cable for compliant earthing of the BMS unit.
1 x mounting accessories (tower assembly)
- Includes screws or locking elements for securely connecting the six components into a tower.
1 x operating and installation manual
