The BOS-G 40 PRO system is based on stable and durable LiFePO4 cells, which offer above-average safety and efficiency. With a nominal system voltage of 409.6 V and a wide voltage range between 352 and 467.2 V, it is optimally suited for use in complex energy environments.

Scalable and adaptable

The modular system design enables individual configuration according to energy requirements. Several BOS-G 40 PRO sets can be operated in parallel. System composition

  • This product is a set and consists of a rack cabinet and the individual plug-in modules (BMS and batteries).

Component 1: Deye rack system / battery cabinet

  • A cabinet to accommodate the BMS unit and battery modules, often with castors and feet.

Component 2: Deye control box / BMS slot-in module

  • The central control unit (BMS/BCCB), which is inserted into the rack cabinet as a module.

Components 3 to 10: Eight Deye BOS-G-PRO-Pack5.1 high-voltage battery slot-in modules (each 5.12 kWh)

These include VDE-AR-N 4105 for Germany, EN 50549 for the EU, CEI 0-21 for Italy, G98 and G99 for Great Britain, OVE R25 for Austria, RD 1699 and RD 14 for Spain, as well as NRS 097-2-1 for South Africa. As a rule, no additional NA protection is required as soon as the appropriate country profile has been activated.Which high-voltage batteries are compatible and how do I set up the BMS correctly?The approved storage solutions include BYD HVS and HVM, Pylontech Force H1 and H2, Dyness Tower, as well as the Deye GB-L Series. Each storage is assigned a specific setup number, which is selected in the menu “Battery → Lithium → Setup Number”. Alternatively, the same number can be set using the DIP switches on the battery. Other models follow the same procedure and are listed in the compatibility list.How much PV output can be connected without inverter clipping?According to the data sheet, up to 30 kW DC input is permitted, while the AC output is 20 kW. This gives a DC/AC ratio of 1.5. In practice, a ratio of 1.1 to 1.2 is recommended, which equates to around 22 to 24 kWp. Even with 26 to 28 kWp, only minor losses due to clipping occur on a few days according to experience.How loud is the inverter during operation?In standby operation, the inverter remains almost silent as the fans only start at temperatures above 50°C or under sustained load. In normal operation, the noise level is below 45 decibels. Under full load, a clear airflow noise can be heard, but it stays below the maximum sound pressure of 55 decibels, as specified by the manufacturer. Although the "extra gain" here is less than with a flat roof with a white substrate, the bifacial cell still helps to better utilise diffuse light. However, the main advantage of "full black" is the glass-glass stability and the optics.Why is N-Type better than P-Type?N-type cells have a different doping (phosphorus instead of boron). As a result, they do not suffer from the "LID effect" (Light Induced Degradation), i.e. they do not lose any power in the first few hours of operation.
