FAQs on the Deye BOS-G 30 PRO high-voltage storage unit
How do I manually load individual BOS‑G modules?
You must not charge individual modules directly from the inverter. This can only be done within the grid-connected system. If you nevertheless wish to charge manually, approx. 57 V (LFP‑16S, 16 × 3.6 V) is permitted; the optimum is approximately 55 V, as this provides hardly any additional storage capacity. The modules have their own battery management systems (BMS), but they must not be subjected to higher voltages.
Do I need a fireproof room (T60) to operate the BOS‑G?
Yes, the EU manual explicitly states that the BOS-G Pro may only be used in fireproof rooms may be installed with T60-type fire-resistant windows and doors. From an insurance and safety perspective, it is essential that this requirement is adhered to.
What capacity and cycle life does the BOS‑G 30 PRO offer?
The system is available in several variants. The 30 PRO provides 30.72 kWh gross; usable space is approx. 27.65 kWh (90% DoD). The service life is ≥ 6,000 cycles at 25 °C and 0.5 C charge/discharge up to 70 % DoD. The warranty period is 10 years.
What protection functions does the BMS offer?
The integrated BMS protects against Overcharging, deep discharge, overcurrent, short circuits, as well as overvoltage, undervoltage and extreme temperatures. It also provides current and cell voltage balancing.
What is the system’s IP protection rating?
The housing is fitted with IP20 classified as such; therefore, it is only suitable for dry indoor use and not for outdoor installation or damp environments.Scope of delivery Deye BOS-G30 PRO high-voltage storage set (30.72 kWh) with rack system:
