Deye BOS-A is a modular high-voltage energy storage module designed for use in high-performance and scalable storage systems for residential and commercial applications. Deye ’s BOS-A storage system is designed for maximum flexibility and future-proofing. Starting with a system size of, for example, seven modules (approx. 54 kWh), the capacity can be scaled up to meet growing energy requirements by adding further modules. This scalability positions the system as the ideal solution for high-demand homes with heat pumps and electric vehicles, as well as for agricultural and commercial businesses seeking to maximise their self-consumption and reduce peak loads.
Maximum safety and longevity with LiFePO4
The integration of lithium iron phosphate cells (LiFePO4) establishes the highest safety benchmark in energy storage solutions. These cells are highly thermally stable, inherently safe, and do not contain cobalt. They are characterised by an exceptionally high cycle life of over 6,000 charge and discharge cycles, which enables a very long service life of over 15 years and makes the system a sustainable and cost-effective solution.
Intelligent control and professional installation
At the heart of the system is the intelligent battery management system (BMS), which is integrated into a higher-level control unit (Cluster Control Box). It reliably protects the storage system against overcharging, deep discharge, overheating and short circuits. It also ensures active cell balancing, which maximises efficiency and service life. The individual modules are designed for quick and safe installation in professional racks (control cabinets), ensuring a neat and standard-compliant installation.

What is the advantage of a modular storage system?

Why is LiFePO4 the safest lithium technology?
LiFePO4 cells have a very stable chemical structure. They are not susceptible to thermal runaway, even in the event of mechanical damage or overcharging. This makes them the safest choice for use in residential and commercial buildings.
What is the advantage of a high-voltage (HV) storage unit over a low-voltage (LV) one?
A high-voltage system operates at a higher voltage and correspondingly lower currents to transmit the same power. Lower currents result in less heat loss in the cables and the inverter, which increases the overall efficiency of the system (PV system, storage and inverter).
Which inverters is this system compatible with?
The Deye BOS-A system is optimally matched to the high-voltage hybrid inverters from Deye (e.g. 50–100 kW series). Communication between the storage system’s BMS and the inverter ensures perfectly coordinated and efficient operation. Compatibility with inverters from other manufacturers should be checked in advance. We strongly recommend checking the compatibility list.
