The Deye AI-W5.1-B is designed to grow with your energy needs. The system can be expanded in stacks of up to 6 modules (30.72 kWh) and can be connected in parallel in up to 6 clusters, for a total capacity of up to 184 kWh. The clever plug-&-play connection makes installation quick, safe and cost-effective, all without external cables or screws.
Intelligent energy management
Each module is equipped with a high-precision battery management system (BMS) that intelligently controls charging and discharging processes, protects the cells and maximises service life. Remote monitoring, automatic addressing and wireless communication ensure easy system integration and high transparency during operation.
Robust technology for all conditions
Thanks to its IP65-certified housing, the storage system is protected against dust and splash water and is suitable for indoor areas such as basements, utility rooms and protected outdoor areas. Operation is possible even at temperatures from -20 °C to +55 °C. The wireless design with natural convection cooling makes the storage system silent, maintenance-free and durable.

Can I expand the storage system to 15 or 30 kWh later?
Yes, up to six modules can be combined per tower, resulting in a total capacity of 30.7 kWh per stack. By connecting up to six towers in parallel, flexible scaling to significantly higher capacities is possible.
How many cycles does the battery last?
According to the datasheet, the storage system achieves over 6,000 charge cycles at 90 % depth of discharge (DoD). This makes the system suitable for long-term use with consistently high performance and reliability.
Which inverters is the 10 kWh package compatible with?
The system is officially approved for Deye hybrid inverters in the low-voltage series. The communication and operating parameters are matched to each other at the factory. “Plug-&-play” operation is possible without further configuration. A comparison with the compatibility list is recommended.
Can I also operate the storage system with other inverters?
There is no official approval from Deye for other inverters. Use with third-party devices is therefore at your own risk and without any guarantee of functionality.
Does the battery need to be fully charged before initial commissioning?
Yes, the manual recommends an initial charge to 100 % to ensure correct synchronisation of the state of charge (SoC). If this step is skipped, deviations in the SoC values and inaccurate capacity display may occur. If solar energy is not sufficient for the first full charge, the storage system can also be charged via the grid.

System composition
- This product is a set and consists of three separate main components, which together form a 10.24 kWh tower system.
Component 1: Deye AI-W5.1-B-BMS (control unit & base)
- The central control unit (BMS Cluster) that manages the entire system. This unit forms the base of the battery tower.
Component 2 & 3: Two Deye AI-W5.1-BATT battery modules (5.12 kWh each)
- Two pure battery modules with 5.12 kWh each, which are stacked on the BMS unit.
1 x set of battery connection cables (positive & negative)
- A pair of high-performance cables for connecting the BMS unit to an external hybrid inverter.
1 x communication cable (CAN/RS485)
- A data cable for communication between the BMS and the inverter.
