Beltrona High-quality aluminium mounting

Description

Product information

These Beltrona Universal mounting system is a robust and flexible solution for securely mounting photovoltaic modules on flat surfaces (flat roofs, garage roofs, ground, terraces). Made from corrosion-resistant Aluminium, this design offers maximum durability with a low weight.

The special highlight is the Variable tilt angles from 30° to 60°. This allows you to align the solar module perfectly with the sun, thereby significantly increasing the yield of your system – particularly in the case of "balcony power stations" or off-grid systems – The mounting bracket is designed to be universal and fits almost all standard solar module sizes (framed).

Highlights at a glance

  • Flexible bracket (30°-60°): The tilt angle can be adjusted continuously or in steps (depending on the model) between 30 and 60 degrees. A steeper angle (45–60°) is ideal for optimising yield in spring, autumn and winter, when the sun is low in the sky.
  • Universal fit: The structure is attached directly to the frame of the solar module. As the rails are telescopic or can be mounted in various ways, the system is suitable for small 100W modules as well as large 400W+ panels (standard width approx. 1134mm).
  • High-quality material: Made from anodised Aluminium (AL6005-T5) and screws made of Stainless steel (SUS304). This guarantees rust resistance and weather resistance for decades.
  • Versatile installation: Suitable for flat roofs (bitumen, membrane, gravel), concrete surfaces, garden soil or even for vertical wall mounting (facade) to space the module away from the wall.
  • Easy installation: Pre-assembled parts and simple screw connections enable quick installation.

Areas of application

Beltrona ’s mounting system is ideal for:

  • Flat roofs: Garage, carport, bungalow (weighting with ballast stones recommended).
  • Garden / open space: Installation on a lawn or terrace.
  • Balcony power stations: To position modules at the optimum angle on a large terrace or a canopy.
  • Facade: For wall mounting, to tilt the module away from the house wall towards the sun.

Installation & Safety Instructions

  • Ballasting (Important!): If you are installing the mounting bracket on a flat roof (e.g. bitumen), you are often not permitted to drill through the roof membrane. In this case, the structure must be weighted down (e.g. with paving slabs or concrete blocks). A single module at a 60° angle presents a large surface area for the wind to catch (sail effect)!
  • Screw connection: The bracket is typically screwed into the mounting holes on the back of the module frame. Check whether your module frame has the appropriate holes or use module clamps.
  • Alignment: Ideally, align the module with South orientation. If a south-facing orientation is not feasible, south-east or south-west orientations also deliver good yields.

FAQs on the Beltrona mounting system

Is the system suitable for my 420-watt module?

Yes. Current standard modules (approx. 172 x 113 cm) can be installed without any problems. The length of the aluminium arms is designed to safely support these sizes.

Why 30° to 60° and not flatter?

Flatter angles (e.g. 10–15°) do not self-clean as effectively (rain does not wash away pollen/dust). The 30–60° range offers the best compromise between Self-cleaning and Annual yield. 30–35° is ideal for summer, whilst 60° makes the most of the low winter sun.

Can I also screw the system to the wall?

Yes, these triangular structures are also ideal for façade mounting. One side is firmly anchored to the wall with dowels, whilst the adjustable side supports the module. Please ensure you use sturdy dowels and screws here due to wind loads.

HOYHMS800W2T
Hoymiles micro-inverter HMS-800W-2T – 800W power

The Hoymiles HMS-800W-2T is the powerful successor to the legendary HM series and sets new standards for modern balcony power plants. With a maximum output power of 800 watts this micro inverter gets the most out of your solar modules and is optimally prepared for the current legislation. The "2T" in the name stands for two independent MPPT trackers. This means you can connect two solar modules, which are controlled completely independently of each other. If one module is in the shade or has a different alignment, the second module still runs at full power. Compared to the previous series, the HMS-800W-2T uses the more stable Sub-1G radio technology (for greater range to DTU) and the new BC05 plug-in system.Highlights at a GlanceHigh output power (800 watts): Delivers a full 800 VA of power into the household grid, making it ideal for the maximum permissible feed-in limit of balcony power plants. Two independent MPPT trackers: Guarantees the maximum yield from each individual module, even with partial shading or different alignment (e.g. east/west).Stable Sub-1G communication: Offers a noticeably more stable and wider-reaching connection through walls when used with an (optional) DTU compared to conventional Wi-Fi.New connection system (BC05): Equipped with the proprietary Hoymiles "Field Connector" (BC05) for rapid and extremely watertight installation.Reactive power control: Complies with the VDE-AR-N 4105:2018-11 standard and supports grid stability by providing reactive power.Robust design (IP67): The fully sealed housing is dust- and waterproof and designed for decades of outdoor use in the harshest conditions.Flexible limiting: Using an optional DTU unit, the output can be temporarily restricted to 600 watts via app (S-Miles Cloud) if required.Areas of ApplicationThe HMS-800W-2T is the standard solution for:Balcony power plants (2 modules): The classic – two modules on the balcony railing for maximum self-sufficiency covering your electricity needs.Garages & Carports: Thanks to high protection class IP67 can be safely used on flat roofs.Garden sheds: Easy installation “Plug & Play” (with suitable Schuko cable).Shaded locations: Where a string inverter would fail, the HMS-800 still extracts energy thanks to single MPPT.Mounting & Safety InstructionsCable selection (Important!): The HMS-800W-2T uses the new BC05 connection (rectangular, flat). It is not compatible with the old Betteri BC01 cables from the HM series. When purchasing the connection cable, be sure to look for the note "for HMS series" or "BC05".Distance to the surface: Mount the inverter with at least 2 cm distance to the mounting surface (roof/wall) so that air can circulate behind the unit (passive cooling).Hot Spot: The metal housing acts as a heat sink and in summer at full load can become up to 80°C hot. This is normal, but avoid touching during operation.Earthing: The device is earthed via the AC connection. Additional grounding on the housing is possible, but not usually mandatory if a compliant Schuko/Wieland cable is used (observe local VDE standards). Features ModelHoymiles HMS-800W-2T Max. recommended PV power**320 W to 540 W+** (per module) Maximum output power**800 VA** (adjustable to 600 VA) MPPT number / inputs**2 MPPT** / 2 DC inputs Max. DC input voltage**65 V** Max. input current (DC)**2 x 14 A** (Compatible with modern 500W+ modules) Communication**Integrated Wi-Fi** (2.4 GHz) AC connection**BC05 connector** (HMS series) Efficiency (CEC)**96.7 %** Protection class**IP67** (dust-tight & protection against temporary submersion) Dimensions (W x H x D)261 x 180 x 35.1 mm FAQs about the Hoymiles HMS-800W-2TWhat is the difference with the Hoymiles HM-800?The HMS is the newer generation. The main differences are:Radio: HMS uses Sub-1G (better range) instead of 2.4 GHz (HM).Connection: HMS uses the BC05 connector, HM uses Betteri BC01.Amperage: The HMS tolerates higher input currents (14A), making it more compatible with modern high performance modules (400W+).Do I necessarily need a DTU (Data Transfer Unit)? For pure operation ("generate power"): No. As soon as the sun shines and the grid is present, it generates power. For monitoring (app) and settings (throttling to 600W): Yes. As the HMS-800W-2T does not have integrated Wi-Fi, you need the DTU-Lite-S stick for app connection. Can I limit the inverter to 600 watts?Yes. When used together with a DTU and an installer account in the S-Miles Cloud, the output power can be limited as a percentage (e.g. to 75% = 600W) to comply with current registration requirements.
