Product information
The Deye GB-L-PRO4.1 is a state-of-the-art expansion module for the GB-L high-voltage battery series from Deye. With a gross capacity of 4.09 kWh serves as a building block for scalable energy storage systems in the residential and small commercial sectors. By combining several modules, the capacity can be precisely tailored to individual energy requirements.
Based on the secure lithium iron phosphate technology (LiFePO4) the module offers exceptional cycle stability and thermal stability. The innovative stacking design enables a wireless connection between the modules, which minimises installation effort and ensures a clean, compact appearance.
Highlights at a glance
- Scalable energy: One module offers a capacity of 4.09 kWh – a bespoke high-voltage system can be built by simply stacking several units.
- Safe LiFePO4 technology: The cobalt-free cell chemistry guarantees maximum safety and a long service life, and virtually eliminates the risk of thermal runaway.
- Plug-and-play installation: Thanks to integrated plug-in contacts, there is no need for complex DC cabling between the individual battery modules during stacking.
- High efficiency: As part of a high-voltage system, the module operates with minimal conversion losses, which increases the efficiency of the entire PV system.
- Robust & Durable: Designed for over 6,000 charge cycles, the module offers a future-proof investment in your energy independence.
- Protection class IP65: The housing reliably protects the sensitive electronics from dust and water spray, making it ideal for a variety of installation locations.
Areas of application
The GB-L-PRO4.1 module is the flexible basis for a wide range of storage solutions:
- System extension
- Easily scale up your existing Deye GB-L battery storage system by an additional 4.09 kWh if your energy requirements increase (e.g. due to an electric car or a heat pump).
- New installations in residential areas
- Combine 2 to 6 modules to form a powerful high-voltage tower for maximum self-consumption of electricity.
- Commercial storage solutions
- Creation of larger storage capacities by connecting several battery towers in parallel to manage peak loads.
Installation & Safety Instructions
- Required components
- Please note that at least one battery management system (GBL-PRO BMS) and a base plate (Base) are required. The module alone is not operational.
- Stacking limits
- Please note the maximum number of modules per tower as specified for your Deye system (usually up to 6 modules per BMS).
- Condition of the modules
- In the event of a subsequent expansion, the existing modules and the new module should be brought to a similar state of charge (SOC balancing) to enable optimal balancing by the BMS.

FAQs on the Deye GB-L-PRO4.1 battery module
Can I connect a single 4.09 kWh module directly to the inverter?
No.
- As this is a high-voltage system, a minimum number of modules (usually 2 or 3, depending on the inverter specifications) and the associated control unit (BMS) are essential to achieve the required operating voltage.
How long is the warranty on the Deye battery modules?
Usually 10 years.
- Deye typically offers a 10-year performance warranty or a specified cycle count for its LiFePO4 storage modules, provided that the installation has been carried out by qualified personnel.
Can I install the module outdoors?
Yes, subject to certain conditions.
- Thanks to IP65, the module is weatherproof. Nevertheless, the installation site should be protected from direct sunlight and extreme frost to preserve the cell chemistry and optimise the efficiency of the optional heating function.
Do I need to purchase additional cables if I scale the system?
No.
- Power and communication are connected directly via the integrated connectors when the modules are stacked. Only the connection from the BMS to the inverter requires a suitable cable set. However, this is included with the PDU and the Base. Please contact the sales department if you have any questions.
How heavy is a battery tower with 4 modules?
Quite substantial.
- A single module weighs approx. 39 kg. A tower consisting of 4 modules, including the BMS and base, weighs over 170 kg. It is therefore essential that you check the load-bearing capacity of your floor.
