How much usable energy and power does the 25 kWh stack provide?

The stack provides 23 kWh of usable energy at 90 % depth of discharge. The continuous current is 50 A, allowing even larger hybrid systems to be supplied safely and efficiently.

Which inverter is the stack compatible with and which setup code is required?

The storage system is compatible with Deye hybrid inverters from the low-voltage series. Setup code 00 CA is used for communication and is set either in the inverter menu or via DIP switches on the BMS. Prior checking against the compatibility list is recommended. Deye storage systems are only compatible with Deye inverters.

Can firmware updates be carried out remotely?

Yes, firmware updates for the BMS and the logger are possible over-the-air (OTA) via the Deye cloud platform. This keeps the system up to date even during operation without on-site access.

Is active cooling necessary?

No, the storage system operates with natural convection; no fans or external cooling systems are required. However, the manual recommends a minimum distance of 20 cm from the rear wall to ensure air circulation.

Must the storage system be fully charged before initial commissioning?

Yes, before first use the storage system should be charged once to 100 %. This initial charge is necessary to correctly detect the State of Charge (SoC) and to avoid deviating SoC values or jumps in the charging curve. If solar energy is insufficient, the storage system can also be charged from the grid.



 

Scope of delivery Deye AI-W5.1-B modular battery system (25.6 kWh):

 

System composition

  • This product is a set and consists of six separate main components which together form a 25.6 kWh tower system.

Component 1: Deye AI-W5.1-B-BMS (control unit & base)

  • The central control unit (BMS cluster) that manages the entire system. This unit forms the base of the battery tower.

Components 2, 3, 4, 5 & 6: Five Deye AI-W5.1-BATT battery modules (5.12 kWh each)

  • Five pure battery modules of 5.12 kWh each, stacked on the BMS unit and on top of one another.

1 x set of battery connection cables (positive & negative)

  • A pair of high-performance cables for connecting the BMS unit to an external hybrid inverter.

1 x communication cable (CAN/RS485)

  • A data cable for communication between the BMS and the inverter.

4 x connecting bridges / parallel connection cables

  • Short, robust cables or fixed bridges to connect the five battery modules to each other.

1 x earthing cable

  • A protective conductor cable for compliant earthing of the BMS unit.

1 x mounting accessories (tower mounting)

  • Includes screws or locking elements to securely connect the six components into a tower.

1 x operating and installation manual

  • A printed manual describing the installation of the entire tower system.
