Deye BOS-A – 161.28 kWh high-voltage battery storage system for commercial and industrial use

Description

Product information

The Deye BOS-A System in the 161.28 kWh configuration is a high-performance, modular high-voltage storage solution developed specifically for the needs of commercial enterprises, industrial facilities and large PV projects. Based on the robust BOS-A battery module (7.68 kWh per unit), this system offers an enormous energy reserve for emergency power supply, load shifting and optimising self-consumption from renewable energies.

By using safe lithium iron phosphate technology (LiFePO4) and an intelligent, cloud-based management system, the storage system guarantees the highest level of reliability and efficiency. The system is optimised for installation in rack environments and enables rapid assembly as well as straightforward maintenance in a professional environment.

Key features at a glance

  • Very high capacity: With 161.28 kWh (achieved by 21 modules in series), the system provides enormous reserves for industrial applications, emergency power solutions and peak shaving.
  • Safe LiFePO4 chemistry: The cobalt-free cell chemistry ensures maximum thermal stability and an extremely long service life of over 6000 cycles.
  • Intelligent cloud management: Real-time monitoring of energy consumption and battery status via the Deye cloud platform to optimise operating costs.
  • High-voltage efficiency: The series connection of the modules ensures a high system voltage, which minimises conversion losses and improves overall system efficiency.
  • Scalable system architecture: The modular concept enables structured integration into standard rack systems and is ideal for professional large storage solutions.
  • Robust industrial design: High protection standards and resistance to various environmental conditions enable long-term operation in technical rooms and industrial settings.
  • Comprehensive warranty: 10-year manufacturer’s warranty and a full replacement guarantee for up to 6000 operating cycles ensure long-term investment security.

Areas of application

The 161.28 kWh version of the BOS-A is the ideal solution for challenging large-scale projects in commercial and industrial environments:

  • Industrial & commercial enterprises
    • Ensuring an uninterruptible power supply (UPS) for critical machines, production lines and reducing costly peak loads.
  • Large photovoltaic systems
    • Efficient intermediate storage of solar power to maximise self-consumption rates in office buildings, agricultural businesses or production sites.
  • Neighbourhood storage and energy centres
    • Centralised storage solution for residential complexes, community energy projects or commercial zones for the shared use of solar energy.

Installation & safety instructions

  • Rack configuration
    • The system achieves its capacity by connecting 21 battery modules in series per rack or system cluster. Ensure proper mechanical securing and appropriate system design in the control cabinet or technical room.
  • Safety management
    • The integrated smart BMS protects each module individually against overcharging, deep discharge and short circuit. Communication takes place seamlessly via CAN 2.0.
  • Statics & weight
    • A fully equipped 161.28 kWh system can – depending on the rack and housing configuration – weigh well over 1400 kg. Ensure that the foundation and installation location are designed for these loads.

FAQs on the Deye BOS-A 161.28 kWh storage system

Can the 161.28 kWh system be expanded further?

Yes. Multiple racks or system clusters can be connected in parallel to achieve significantly larger total capacities for commercial or industrial applications. The modular design allows the system to be precisely adapted to the growing energy needs.

How does the emergency power supply work at this size?

Automatically and powerfully. When combined with a suitable Deye high-voltage inverter, the system can switch to battery operation in milliseconds in the event of a mains failure and reliably supply even larger consumers and critical loads.

Why is the BMS so important in this system?

For balance and safety. With 21 modules in series, the BMS ensures that all cells are charged and discharged evenly. This prevents individual modules from ageing prematurely and maximises the usable energy of the entire storage unit.

Is the system high-maintenance?

No. Thanks to the fanless design of the battery modules and the robust LiFePO4 technology, the system is virtually maintenance-free. Remote cloud monitoring also makes it possible to detect irregularities at an early stage before they become a problem.
