How far can I expand the system later?
Up to six modules can be combined per tower, resulting in 30.7 kWh of storage capacity. By connecting up to six towers in parallel, expansion to a maximum total capacity of 184 kWh is possible without additional control technology.
Which hybrid inverters is the 15 kWh package compatible with?
The storage package is officially approved for three-phase Deye hybrid inverters of the low-voltage series.. The systems are fully matched to each other, and plug-&-play operation is possible directly without manual configuration. Please check the compatibility list beforehand. Deye storage systems are only compatible with Deye inverters.
Do I need active cooling?
No, the system operates completely fanless with passive convection. The only important thing is a location with free air circulation, as recommended in the manual. Additional air conditioning is not required.
Does the battery need to be fully charged before initial commissioning?
Yes, the initial charge to 100 % is necessary to ensure correct SoC detection (State of Charge). If this step is omitted, deviations in capacity display and charging behaviour may occur. For this reason, always fully charge the storage system first before you begin discharging it.
How loud is the battery during operation?
The battery operates completely without active fans and is therefore virtually silent. Only during switching do relays switch briefly, which can be heard for a short time. In regular operation, the system remains silent.

System composition
- This product is a set and consists of four separate main components, which together form a 15.36 kWh tower system.
Component 1: Deye AI-W5.1-B-BMS (control unit & base)
- The central control unit (BMS cluster) that manages the entire system. This unit forms the base of the battery tower.
Components 2, 3 & 4: Three Deye AI-W5.1-BATT battery modules (5.12 kWh each)
- Three pure battery modules with 5.12 kWh each, which are stacked onto the BMS unit and onto each other.
1 x set of battery connection cables (positive & negative)
- A pair of high-performance cables for connecting the BMS unit to an external hybrid inverter.
1 x communication cable (CAN/RS485)
- A data cable for communication between the BMS and the inverter.
2 x connection bridge / parallel connection cable
- Short, robust cables or fixed bridges to connect the three battery modules to each other.
